Volunteer with us

‘Scouting is a character factory.’ Not our words, but those of our lead volunteer, chief scout Bear Grylls. Are you ready to inspire a generation of young people to experience fun, friendship and real adventure?

Volunteering doesn’t necessarily mean a weekly commitment in the scout hall as a leader. The opportunities to volunteer with us are flexible. Think of something you’d like to do and chances are it’s just what we require. This might be helping once a term to help scouts on a hike, arranging a craft activities for cubs or it might involve managing the membership list, or group finances.

There are lots of different ways to get involved and we would love it if you did. Ask your Leader for details.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
